The short version

You don't need an account. We don't ask for your name or email. Converted files are deleted from our servers automatically within 30 minutes, whether you download them or not.

The site does show advertising, and those ad networks — like most on the web — set their own cookies. That's covered in detail below.

What we collect

No registration is required to use yttowav.net. When you use the converter, our servers temporarily process:

• The YouTube URL you submit
• Your IP address, browser type and device type (standard server logs)
• Diagnostic data — timing, errors, and which conversion path was used

We do not sell or rent this information to anyone.

How long files are kept

Converted audio files are temporary. Every file is deleted from our servers automatically within 30 minutes of being created — this happens whether or not you download it. Download links stop working once the file is removed.

Server logs are kept for up to 30 days for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, then rotated out.

Advertising and cookies

yttowav.net is free to use and has no paid tier. Advertising is what pays for the servers and proxies that run the conversions.

We work with third-party advertising partners, currently Adsterra and Monetag. These networks may set cookies or use similar technologies on your device to measure ad performance and to show ads that are relevant to you. We do not control what these partners collect, and their own privacy policies apply to that data.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how many people use the site and which pages they visit. Google may set cookies for this purpose.

Beyond that, we use one essential browser storage item to remember your theme preference (light or dark). That never leaves your device.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The converter itself will keep working — no cookie is required to convert a file.

Third-party services

To operate the site we rely on third parties for hosting, content delivery, analytics, security and advertising. These providers process technical information as needed to deliver their part of the service.

We also connect to YouTube to fetch the audio you request. Your interaction with YouTube's own services is governed by their policies, not ours.

Data security

The site runs over HTTPS and we take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we handle. That said, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and we can't promise otherwise.

Children's privacy

yttowav.net is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

Since we don't hold accounts or personal profiles, there's usually nothing tied to you for us to delete. If you'd like us to remove specific server-log entries, or you have a question about your data, email us and we'll help.
